Mamey Sapote / Pouteria Sapote

The Pouteria sapota, commonly known as the Sapodilla, is a tropical fruit native to Central America and Mexico. Its exterior is brown in color and rough to the touch, while its interior is soft and sweet. It grows on evergreen trees in warm, humid climates, reaching heights of up to 30 feet tall and producing an abundance of fruits throughout the year.
